Introduction to the research group
Deng Hui's research group focused on the role and molecular mechanism of Porphyromonas gingivalis in the relationship between periodontitis and cardiovascular disease from the perspective of clinical key issues for a long time, and clarified the molecular mechanism and new prevention and treatment strategies of Porphyromonas gingivalis promoting atherosclerosis around endothelial dysfunction. In addition, it focuses on the integration and innovation of oral medicine and biomaterials, devotes itself to the research on the application and strategy of intelligent hybrid hydrogel and nano drug sustained release system in the prevention and treatment of chronic periodontitis, uses hybrid hydrogel and interdisciplinary advantages to assist photothermal and antioxidant treatment to solve the difficulties and pain points of traditional periodontitis treatment, and breaks through the bottleneck of traditional drug treatment.

Deng Hui, Chief Physician, Master's Supervisor, and vice president of the Department of Periodontology at the School & Hospital of Stomatology Wenzhou Medical University. Graduated from Sichuan University with a PhD in Oral Clinical Medicine. Visiting scholar at the University of Washington and the University of Queensland. The team is clinically committed to the standardized multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment of moderate and severe periodontitis, and scientific research is committed to the role and molecular mechanism of Porphyromonas gingivalis in the correlation between periodontitis and cardiovascular disease, periodontal intelligent drug delivery solution gel and nano drugs to prevent and treat periodontitis. Served as a standing committee member of the Periodontology Special Committee of the Chinese Stomatological Association and vice chairman of the Periodontology Special Committee of the Zhejiang Stomatological Association. The team has led 20 scientific research projects, including 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 5 basic public welfare projects in Zhejiang Province. Published 43 high-level papers as the first or corresponding author, cited 1032 times, 1 paper selected as ESI highly cited paper, authorized 3 national invention patents as the first inventor, participated in the compilation of translations by the National Health Commission and textbooks for vocational colleges in the 14th Five Year Plan. Selected as Zhejiang Province Health Innovation Talents, Wenzhou Ouyue Talent Plan - Wenzhou Famous Doctors, Zhejiang Province Medical Newcomer, and Zhejiang Province Young and Middle aged Discipline Leaders in Universities.
